Elephant In The Room Boxing Club (EIR) is a non-profit gym located in New Haven, Connecticut. EIR's founder and Executive Director Devonne Canady is the First and only Gold medalist World Champion in the sport of amateur boxing for nine years. Ms. Canady conquered the world of women's boxing winning several notable titles over a eight year span, including the Nationals twice! The only title that eluded Ms. Canady was the Olympic medal. It wasn't until 2010 when the International Olympic Commitee approved women's boxing as an Olympic sport. Women will appear in the Games for the first time in history in the 2012 Games in London, England. What does this mean for Ms. Canady?? Well, this means she's down but never out......STAY TUNED
